IoT Platform Engineering
The following data represents the status as of the end of March 2026,
marking the end of the group’s activities.
Edge node/edge computing is a technology that is drawing attention as a key component for the realization of next-generation cyber-physical systems featuring IoT and AI technologies. This technology is capable of high-precision and efficient sensing of various kinds of information about the physical environment around us, as well as biological information. The acquired data can then be processed in a cloud data center and fed back to the real world. With a strong focus on IoT edge node-related technologies, this group engages in R&D on sensor technology, integrated circuit (LSI) design technology, and energy generation and control management technology, which are all essential to IoT edge computing systems. The aim of our R&D on integrated electronics is to help establish a richer, more convenient, safer, and more secure society.
